Why Mix 'n' Match?
Hi there, I’m ChangK! Let me share with you my story about this brand :)
I have this amazing best friend who we consider each other twin, Thanh Thanh (she’s now discovering her new chapter in France). We have this incredible bond and share so many things in common!
In summer 2023, during her visit in Vietnam, we got to spend a lot of quality time together. One of our favorite activities is to go fabric shopping and create new clothes for swing dancing, our ultimate hobby! It didn't take us long to spot a piece of fabric that we both absolutely adored, silk brocade, something we have never tried before.

After getting our skirts beautifully tailored, I couldn't help but joke with her that I would wear mine for the Final Mix 'n' Match Competition at KBC (it would be my first time taking part in one). And you know what? I actually did, and it turned out to be a memorable experience! Me (and my skirt) made it to the final of the competition for real, how cool is that?!
During the event, I got many compliments about this skirt! I’ve always got a dream since I was little, to be a fashion designer. With Thanh Thanh, we started throwing ideas around and I just got so excited talking about starting a small business to create beautiful outfits for my friends and dancers around me!
After a short while, here's it is! The name came with an insight joke about the competition, but genuinely, I want to bring into play my keen eye for color and texture to expertly combine different materials, creating a style that embodies elegance, class, individual touch, and comfortable to wear.
Each skirt I create holds a special place in my heart because I'm always the first one to wear and showcase their beauty. They'll undeniably shine in the personal mix and match scenarios that I imagine.
And that was how I came up with the name Mix 'n' Match Threads by ChangK and start running the business of my childhood dream!
